Tonight there is a preview in San Diego of an event that you may have heard of. That’s right, it’s that time of year again, San Diego Comic Con!
SDCC snuck up on me this year. I talked about going, but instead, here I am sitting at Foot headquarters writing about TMNT goodies that are already popping up. The event hasn’t even officially kicked off yet and the internet is buzzing!
I’m sure this will come as a shock to you but NECA has some amazing TMNT items on display tonight that will be released in the near future. Toyark posted some great shots which can be seen here.
NECA will be supplying us with accessories to go along with their 1/4 scale line. We get baby turtles, some pizza and boxes, and looks like a bag of pork rinds unless that comes with Mikey who is on display with a bag next to him. They have also decided to release a 1/4 scale Raph in disguise rather than just selling individual accessories for Raph.
I’ve got to say I’m a bit bummed about the new Raph. I won’t be buying the same figure for $99 just because he comes with a trench coat, hat, and a Jose Canseco bat.
Other items in NECA’s display case include an awesome replica of a canister of ooze, a Casey Jones replica mask, and a display featuring their classic Krang figure with empty space for a reveal tomorrow.
My fingers are crossed in hopes that we get Rock Soldiers in some form. General Traag, anyone?? A Slash figure would be interesting and would go over well too. The display kind of reminds me a little bit of Turtles in Time where you get to battle Slash in Dimension X. Time will tell!
