It looks like we won’t be seeing the new Rise of the TMNT figures before the show airs this Fall. Playmates revealed at Toy Fair that the figures for the series will not be released until October 1st of this year.
The show is set to drop in September so we won’t have a long wait but it is surprising to hear that the figures won’t build the hype through an earlier release.
Toy Fair has gotten me very excited about the new series! The basic figures look great, the new characters are intriguing and it appears that Shredder will eventually appear. The vehicles and playsets are amazing too! Pixel Dan has a great video interview and walk through with Pat from Playmates Toys. I highly recommend watching it as it explains a lot about the show and toy line.
